Broadway veteran, recording artist, actor and television producer Franc D'Ambrosio lent his numerous talents to Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca for several seasons and now continues his tenure with CCM Spoleto. Mr. D'Ambrosio starred in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award winning musical The Phantom of the Opera where he performed the lead role of the masked man for over six years. The title "The World's Longest Running Phantom," was bestowed upon Franc after bringing more than five million theatre goers to their feet over 2,600 times.

Paramount Pictures cast Franc as Al Pacino's opera singing son, Anthony Corleone, in Godfather III after an international search lasting more than a year. The film received seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Score featuring Franc on the original motion picture soundtrack.

Most recently, Franc was hand selected by Barry Manilow to create and star as the lead in Manilow's pre-Broadway tour of Copacabana. In the roll as Tony, Franc earned a National Theatre Award nomination for "Best Male Performer in a Musical."

Franc's television appearances include "Regis and Kathy Lee," "Entertainment Tonight," and "MTV's Spotlight." He was invited by Brian Boitano to perform as a Special Musical Guest in the Olympic Figure Skater's NBC special.

Franc is featured on many CDs and his performance of "Panis Angelicus" earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Vocalist in 1999. His talent even impressed Luciano Pavarotti, who personally invited Franc to sing and work with the living legend at his home in Italy.
